One of the first things God gave us was our bodies. With our bodies came a rich variety of vegetation and livestock to nourish and satisfy us. Designed to work, physical labor, and thus exercise, was part of the original equation. We were created in love to flourish emotionally. Our bodies were destined for eternal life and not death, for health and not loss.
Life and love are the destiny God intended for us; not death, not illness, not brokenness, not disease.
Trauma alters our DNA. Stress actually leads to disease. Over-indulgence in anything wrecks the balance of our lives, and despite seeking satisfaction in it, it only leads to destruction. Excess fat inhibits our body's processes and breaks down our joints, damages our cell function, and hurts our heart. Generations stacked upon generations of stress, strain, and trauma have taken their toll in the inherited effects we carry in our bodies, our minds, and in our lives today.
But there is hope. There is a route forward. There is a healing rhythm that can begin to restore what should have been to what can be.
